Hogares deshabitados, 2024
Este proyecto surge tras hacer una excursión en la que encontré objetos abandonados en espacios donde no es habitual encontrarlos. Esto me invitó a reflexionar sobre su pasado: ¿Dónde estaban? ¿Para qué se usaban? ¿De quién eran? Es decir, su memoria.
Para explorar esto, imaginé posibles usos que estos objetos podrían haber tenido e intenté plasmarlos en estas tres series fotográficas. Con ello, pretendo reflexionar sobre la vida útil de los objetos y de cómo, en la sociedad actual, nos deshacemos de estos aún encontrándose en perfectas condiciones de uso simplemente porque queremos algo nuevo. Se trata de darle valor al objeto.
A nivel expositivo, propongo que estas fotos, en las que se muestra una narrativa donde habito el espacio, vayan acompañadas por unos vídeos que muestran el contexto que rodea a la pieza y ayudan al espectador a situarse y entrar dentro de ella.
This project arose after a hike where I found abandoned objects in unusual spaces. This prompted me to reflect on their past: Where were they? What were they used for? Whose were they? In other words, their memory.
To explore this, I imagined possible uses these objects could have had and tried to capture them in these three photographic series. With this, I intend to reflect on the useful life of objects and how, in today's society, we discard them even when they are in perfect working condition simply because we want something new. It's about giving the object value.
On an exhibition level, I propose that these photos, which show a narrative where I inhabit the space, be accompanied by videos that show the context surrounding the piece and help the viewer situate themselves and enter it.
